On Saturday December 12, 2015 the 16th annual SSRun was held in Boston starting at Lir Bar on Boylston Street. Over 250 Participants dressed in nothing more than a holiday inspired speedo or bikini made their way through the city for a 1-mile run ending back at Lir where the after party stared.
The SSRun is a fun and unique fundraising event. It began in Boston back in 2000 where five guys were just looking to spread some holiday spirit by running through Back Bay in only Santa hats and Speedos. Since its inception it has grown to include 700 men and women each year and has become an annual holiday tradition that has hosted thousands of participants who have helped to raise over $1.6 million for local children in need.
At the time this article was published, SSRun had raised $97,990 for Play Ball Boston.
